We are rebuilding the Kubernetes clusters and updating the software to the latest version 1.22.
Today, our clusters run with a single master node. With the conversion, we are switching to a configuration with several master nodes.
This allows us to guarantee permanent availability of the clusters. This means that the availability of the Kubernetes clusters is also ensured during maintenance work or if a single master node fails.
Another advantage is that the network traffic will be distributed over several nodes after the conversion. This will improve the performance of the system.
By updating to the latest software version, we can also increase the security of the Kubernetes clusters. With the new software version, various security aspects have been improved.
